Dr. Heidi Webster on Victoria Vision Eye Care

Dr. Heidi Webster (née Fandrich) received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 1999. After graduation, she spent a year-long working holiday in Australia. She began her optometric career in Victoria with South Island Optometry in 2000 and became the primary optometrist for Iris at Hillside Mall in 2003. She is honored to have the opportunity to continue the tradition of excellent patient care at Victoria Vision Eye Care.

“I was very excited to learn of the opportunity to purchase Victoria Vision Eye Care. With its emphasis on patient care, its long history in the community and its heritage location, I feel as if this practice was created for me.

One of the first things I noticed walking into the practice was the professional environment where the focus is on eye health rather than retail sales. The doctors take time with each patient for thorough exams, complete explanations, and personalized care.  This style of care is not surprising considering the practice was founded by Dr. Robert Grundison.

With more than 50 years in practice, Dr. Grundison is a bit of an icon in the optometric community. Since I began practice in Victoria, I have not only enjoyed his good nature, but appreciated his willingness to share his acute knowledge of optometry and insight into Victoria. I have also admired the relationships that he has built with his patients, some who have been seeing him since the 1970s!

Living in Victoria, I have developed an appreciation for walkable neighborhoods, a vibrant downtown core, locally owned business and the beauty of heritage buildings. Being able to practice downtown in a heritage building like the Counting House and being able walk to work are ideal for me.

Dr. Grundison founded this practice; Dr. Reavley and Dr. Willis built on the foundation of exceptional, personalized patient care and I look forward continuing their legacy at Victoria Vision Eye Care.”
