Heidi Webster, OD
Optometrist, Owner

Dr. Heidi WebsterDr. Webster grew up in the Fraser Valley. She first came to Victoria for her undergraduate studies at the University of Victoria. She completed her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1999. After graduation, Dr. Webster spent a year on a working holiday in Australia. In addition to practicing optometry, she enjoyed traveling, learned to scuba dive and volunteered at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Upon returning to BC in 2000, she became an associate at South Island Optometry in Saanich. In 2002, she joined IRIS to become the primary optometrist at Hillside Mall. Dr. Webster took ownership of Victoria Vision & Eye Care Center in January of 2011.

Dr. Webster lives in Fairfield with her husband Michael. She enjoys gardening, hiking, knitting, traveling, yoga and preserving the character of their 1912 home.

Robert Grundison, BEd OD
Optometrist  – (not currently seeing patients)
Dr. Robert Grundison is celebrating his 50th year in practice this year. In recognition of his years of service to his patients and to the development of optometry in British Columbia, Dr. Grundison was named Optometrist of the Year by the BC Association of Optometrists in 2007. Since graduating from optometry school at Pacific University in Oregon in 1957, he has been dedicated to providing eye care to the Victoria community. By combining a prior education degree with his training as an optometrist, Dr. Grundison has helped many children over the years to overcome reading problems. As an early advocate of anti-oxidant vitamins, he has encouraged his patients to consider these supplements which are now considered a mainstay in the prevention of macular degeneration, a common eye disease. He founded our clinic in 1981 with Dr. Irvin Bowman.  Bob is an avid sailor and enjoys salmon fishing. He and his wife, Evelyn, enjoy spending time with their family and grandchildren.Dr. Grundison explains what he likes about being an optometrist in this video.
